2018 VW Jetta Error Code U0415 – Fixing ABS Speed Sensor on a Budget!

Our 2018 Volkswagen Jetta started showing all kinds of dashboard error lights and even went into limp mode once — not a fun experience. After plugging in a diagnostic scanner, I pulled the VW-specific DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U0415, which usually relates to invalid data received from the ABS module.

After doing some solid research and checking things out with a mechanic buddy of mine (using his professional-grade scan tool), we narrowed the issue down to the front left wheel speed sensor — also known as the ABS sensor.

I jumped on Amazon and grabbed a 4-pack of ABS sensors for under $30 — not bad at all. In this video, I show you how I replaced the faulty sensor quickly and easily. I’ll be replacing the other three later as a precaution.

If you’re getting code U0415 on your VW Jetta or similar VW/Audi models, this could be your solution!
