This week on Poles and Paddles – Saltwater Sunday, Don and Mike hit the water hoping to land some nice snook or redfish. The plan was simple… but the fishing had other ideas! We finally got an up-close encounter with our first manatee from the kayaks, which was definitely a highlight of the trip. Unfortunately, the fishing itself didn’t go quite as planned. Between the Florida heat, equipment failures, and shrimp that had seen better days, things quickly went downhill. And while we didn’t catch the snook or redfish we were after, we still managed to bring something home…
